Can this photo be saved...

After
Before

As I am learning my camera, I have used the delete button a lot!!! I have also loaded photos into my computer that I thought were award winning, only to find out that the focus was way off or the exposure was not even close.

Kim shared with me some editing tips that will save many of my less than perfect shots. Here is another before and after with the Bo-man. Sorry I didn't take the time to make them big mainly because they are landscape shots and it is more difficult to make those bigger.

Have fun looking and thanks soooo much Kim I will use these often.

Avery had a big week!

Photobucket

Photobucket She has been doing so well in Ballet and Tap class. I am not just saying that either. She is so good. It just comes naturally to her. I would keep her in class just so I have an excuse to buy these cute leg warmers.

Photobucket
She will be five in February and she just had her first haircut. Well, it was a trim. You couldn't even tell she got it cut when we were done. I had to bribe her with a lollypop to get her to do it.

Photobucket

Photobucket She had her first sleepover at her cousin's house on Friday. She was so excited. It was all she could talk about. She went right to work packing her bag when she got home from school. She has her sleeping bag over her shoulder in this photo. She kept all of her stuff (pillow, backpack and sleeping bag with her at all times all afternoon. So fun!

Baby Buns Take Two...

This one is on it's back, you can just see the paws and nose....ohhhhh so cute!

I have a favorite bunny already. It is this little one. Hopefully you can see better in this photo. We have lost two of them so far. The remaining four seem to be doing really well. Ruby is feeding them like a good little mama bunny. Sometimes, I go to check on them and their little bellies are so full they look like they are going to pop.

Baby Buns!

They are about three inches long. We lost one last night. It was a little black one. We can't hold them for about three weeks. So Thanksgiving will be fun. All the little cousins can hold a baby bunny. Rowdy and Avery were so excited to see them last night.

I AM FREAKING OUT!!!!

I'm a GRANDMA!!!!

Our bunny Ruby had babies!!!!! There are six of those little hairless things squirming around in the hutch. Ruby looks like a good Mommy so far...She didn't have any hay in her hutch and she made them a nest out of her belly fur (don't worry that's what they do).

I threw some more hay in there and she quickly went to work making a nest. I hope they all survive. We are going to move them into the barn tonight. I haven't told the kids yet...we will when Ron get home.

I took some pictures and will post soon!

The ittsy bittsy spider!

Photobucket

Bodie enjoyed his first lollypop on Halloween night at Grandma Martha's house. He wasn't too sure about it at first but once he got the hang of it he had the whole thing in his mouth without holding onto the stick. It was really funny to watch him.

He also enjoyed digging in grandma's candy bowl. It was hard to get a good photo of him because he was busy digging candy out of the bowl and handing it to grandma.

Photobucket

This is just a small example of the the jack-o-lanterns that we saw at that house I mentioned in my other post. It was so cool and she comes up with her own ideas and designs for all of them.

Trick or Treat!

Photobucket

Photobucket

If I do say so myself, I think that Avery makes a pretty cute cheerleader (a last minute costume change from Supergirl). Rowdy was so jazzed about being a Transformer (even though everyone keep calling him a Power Ranger). As Rowdy put on his costume he was making the sound that the Transformer make when they "Transform and roll out!" I love that boy!

Every Halloween we have to stop at Ron's Grandma's (that's tradition). This was her first Halloween without Papa. It just seemed so odd to see his chair empty. We MISS you Papa!

We then went to the church for "Trunk or Treat". This is just an event the Church puts on to offer a safe Trick or Treating opportunity. Family's decorate the trunks of their cars and hand out candy from there. Anyway, Avery is kind of shy and stubborn at times and she was having a hard time saying thank you after she whispered "Trick or Treat". I tried to explain to her all you have to say is "Trick or Treat and Thank You" to get the candy. Well Ron pulled her aside and had a little chat with her and all was well.

We added a new tradition to the Halloween night festivities. Ron has been farming this piece of property up the street from us and the lady that lives there carves about 50 pumpkins and puts them all over her yard and she serves homemade donuts on Halloween night. It was AMAZING! I will post some photos when I post the photos of Bo-man!

I didn't mean for this post to be this long but I just kept typing...I am off to workout!

Thank You!

Thank you so much Kim for helping me with my blog. I finally got the side bar to be where I wanted it and the pictures to be in the right place. Boy I sure do have a new appreciation for your blog. It is a lot of hard work to upload to photobucket and enlarge the photo and then put it on the blog. I don't think all my posts will have big photos but when I have a good one I will probably do it this way. I think they are actually a smidge too big.

Anyways, thank you so much. I ended up tweeking the wrappers some more to get the right size.

One from this summer...

His eyes are really that blue. I catch myself just staring at them sometimes.

Still under construction...

Trying again to make a bigger photo...

Photobucket

Ok, I had to change my layout to do this...the photo is big, that is for sure...but my sidebar is at the bottom. Yikes. I'll keep trying!

Mr. Smarty Pants...

So as we are reading books tonight Rowdy says to me...
"Mom, why is the word little, big and the word big, little?"

So much fun....

Weeeeeee!

Superman!

Such a boy!

Rainbow order...

I bought this box of crayons a few weeks ago to put in my craft room. When I was little, this was my favorite set of crayons. It had more colors than the 24 pack, but not all of the colors of the 64 pack (sometimes too many choices is not a good thing). I loved to color and to draw when I was younger (let's be honest not much has changed).
The purpose of the post however, is to share that it was an absolute MUST that the crayons be in rainbow order. A box of crayons in rainbow order with all the crayons standing next to similiar colors with the points still intact just made me happy. In fact, I remember having several boxes of crayons that I didn't use because I wanted to preserve their newness. Is it any wonder I sometimes buy two sets of scrapbook paper; one to use and one to "preserve".
I'm not sure what this says about me but I put it in my craft room as a reminder to find joy in the little things even if it is something as simple as a new box of crayons in rainbow order.

Big Sis!

She spent most of her time looking for pumpkins "just Bodie's size" and she would bring them to over to him. It was darling. She was so excited her voice was higher than it normally is and she was just so happy.

The Patch

The train's first stop is the petting zoo. Personally my favorite part!
Mark this day down...a picture of my husband smiling and looking at the camera...it's amazing! And did you catch Rowdy's little pose!

Rowdy anticipating the "scary" tunnel on the train ride to the pumpkin patch.

Pumpkin Patch

Rowdy riding in the caboose of the pumpkin train out to the Patch.

This is the front of the train...isn't it fun!
All aboard!

Okay maybe two at a time...

It's fun to try something new!

I am a challanged blogger...

It will only let me post one at a time...arghhh!

Juice Box...

I gave Bodie a Juice Box the other day and he thought it was pretty cool. I am pretty sure that he said apple and pointed to the the picture of the apple on the box. More of this adventure in the next post!

I know this is not quite right...

...but I am trying. I don't want to have to put my pictures on photobucket, resize them, send them to mars and back, do the hokey pokey and turn my self about just to get bigger pictures. Any suggestions...Shaun Gatherum...if you are out there...HELP!

Just a photo of Bodie's morning visiters...looking for the scraps that I sweep out to them!

Testing 1,2,3

I am just testing to see if I successfully converted a Raw image from my camera to a jpeg file...it really sounds like I know what I am talking about doesn't it. Now if I can just figure out how to make my images bigger I would be happy.
Just a few words about this little boy. Oh! How I love him. He is so sweet. He just learned how to give kisses on the cheek. Before when we would ask for a kiss he would give you a head butt or two...such a boy! Now he either blows a raspberry on your cheek or he sniffs your cheek...it is so darling that I ask for kisses from him all the time. I call him my "buttery little boy" because his skin is so buttery and soft. He is walking more than crawling now and he is so proud that he can just go from room to room and for the most part keep up with us.

10 Years of BLISS!!!!

I just wanted to mention that today is Ron and I's 10 year wedding Anniversary! I know you are asking why in the world am I blogging about it at 9pm on the night of our Anniversary. Well we are not officially celebrating until next week, just another regular Friday night around these parts. Anyways, I thought I would post a few things about us in honor of this occasion....

  • We met when he towed my car in college

  • He had been checking me out from the sidelines of his little brother Aaron's football games as I coached the Central High School Cheerleaders

  • He told one of the players dad's I was "good breeding stock"...I know, I know...but was he wrong?

  • After we went on our first date I knew...I cried a happy cry the whole drive home

  • Our courtship was full of highs and lows and break ups a being reunited

  • We are complete opposites in so many ways but you know what they say about opposites

  • Ron is my best friend

  • Although, I won't get the line exactly right, I must quote Jerry McGuire and say "I love him for the man he is, for the man he wants to be and for the man he almost is"

  • He likes my cooking and he knows that it is one of the ways I show him I love him

  • We have been married 10 years and are still getting to know each other and I think that is what is so interesting about being married...as time goes on you just get more comfortable with each other and know how to communicate better because you know that other person and all of their layers...Ron says he can tell what kind of mood I am in by how I am breathing...now that is pretty frightening to me.

  • Ok these are getting kid of random...I am also doing my best to stop Bodie from typing along with me...he is on my lap!

Happy Anniversary Ron!

Bodie

Bodie turned one on the 22nd of August and I hadn't posted about it. Ron's Papa pasted away the same weekend so our focus was somewhere else entirely. We managed to have a little cake and ice cream and sing. As you can see from the last photo he is a mover and loves to try to keep up with his Brother and Sister. He loves to play catch and throw balls. He loves to try to put lids back on water bottles. If he is fussy in the car...I just hand him my cell phone and he is good to go. He loves to put things inside of other things and then take them back out. He doesn't talk as much as the other two at this age. He also loves to play chase. We say "I'm gonna come and get you, so you better run away" and he crawls away as fast as he can. He always stops and sits back up to see if you are really chasing him. Then he squeals in delight that you are and he "keeps" crawling away. He can't stand it if you go around a corner during this game because he must investigate where you have gone. He likes it when you peek at him from around a corner too. He hates it when I leave the room and absolutely is traumatized when I take a shower. Therefore, the timing on that task is always tricky. He adores his bath and clamors to get in every time I run the water; even if it is for Rowdy or Avery. Just a little bit about this boy.

Before and After with Bo-man!

I liked this photo but I am in the process of learning Photoshop Elements. So, I played around with it. I cropped it, removed the booger from his shoulder, the scratch from his forehead and I tweeked his eyes a bit. I hope I didn't tweek too much.... I hope he doesn't look like a zombie! Sometimes when you look at something for a long time you are not sure about what you see anymore. Anyways, I am just playing around and teaching myself the program...basically.

" Put me in Coach I am ready to play!"

Sep 2, 2008

Are you kidding me!!!!

This is how I think Rowdy should still look...he isn't a little boy! And he certainly isn't in the first grade. For crying out loud! I have had a lump in my throat all morning...I didn't cry but I just am so overwhelmed that I am a mother of a first grader. Actually, I am jealous. I want to sit at little desk and color in my fresh new name tag and color in my school book full of little work pages. So, instead, I will be filling out my volunteer paperwork and background check paperwork so I can volunteer in his classroom. I was proud of him. He did great!

Learning some of the classroom rules! I hope he has a good year. Now I just need to remember to go pick him up...he will start riding the bus next week.
