Eighty-nine...

I just can't tell you how nice it is to give Bodie a bath now that his cast is off. I had to give him a bath in the sink with a bag over his arm. I still need to post the photos from him getting the case off. My favorite part of Bodie's bath time is what he does when I ask him if he wants to go take a bath...he says "Baaa" and then procedes to march himself down the hall right into the bathroom. When I say "march" it is that cute little run that toddlers do before they can really run...it is darling! He gets really excited and I can't get him in there fast enough.

Eighty-seven...
Today, Bodie and I found ourselves at the University library, since our public library is closed on Mondays and again we had some time to kill before picking up Avery. It has big huge picture windows (fun for mom and her camera) and a section called "juvenile fiction", with kids books (fun for Bo-man).
Looking out onto campus...it is my Alma Mater!
New fav, above!
I had fun just following him around. I actually discovered some eductional resources for the kids there. I wonder if alumni can get a library card?
We didn't read much since Bodie was more interested in taking the books off the shelf and playing hide a seek.
You have to be very quite in the library.....shhhhh.

Eighty-six...
The boys went ATVing yesterday for just a bit. That is one of the best things about Ron having his work at home. He can carve out little pockets of time to fire up the ATV's and take Rowdy for a spin. Ron can pop wheelie's like he "is a stunt man" (that is Rowdy talking, he is looking over my shoulder as I type).
Maybe Fox Racing will stop in on my blog and offer to send me a million dollars for the cutest model in their gear...if not Fox, maybe John Deere.Below, is one of my new favorites of Rowdy Boy!
Eighty-five...
Billy and Baby Bear!
His day usually starts and ends with them by his side.
The above photo might be my favorite photo of our little session today!
He said to me when I set this one up..."look mom bear feet, bare feet and bear feet" as he pointed to his feet and the bears' feet...is he going to make a great photographer someday or what?He is almost 7 and he still has his friends and his Cozy (the blue blanket below). I don't have the heart to take it away. Are you supposed to take their security blankets away or do they just grow out of it? The Cozy has seen better days that is for sure. Would you take it away?
Billy and Baby Bear are Rowdy's main side-kicks but he actually has a posse of bears. His nursery had bears in it and therefore he has quite a collection from Aunties and Grandma's.
Eighty-four...

The other day when I was outside with the kids, we went over to say Hi to the cows. I guess I hadn't been looking very closely because look at this little guy. He is sprouting horns...some people don't think cows are cute...but I do, and I like this little one. Avery asked if he is a baby cow still and I told her that his is more like a teenager.

Eighty-two...

Really, I am not a fan of the toy football helmet as a bike helmet idea, but lately that is all he wears. Just so you know I don't approve.
I was just walking around taking pictures of random stuff and he rides by me, skids his tire in the gravel and says to me "Hey, Mom! How about this pose?" Oh, boy I think he's on to me.

Eighty...
We took the kids to Hoo Doo yesterday!
Up the rope tow.
To slide down this big hill in a inner tube!
Is there any question about how much fun it was!
With juggling the camera, a bag of snacks and keeping an eye on Bodie I didn't get any good shoots of Avery. This is the best one. She played in the snow and took several runs with me and Ron. She even went down that HUGE hill in a tube all by herself. I have to say it was really steep and took your breath away and made your stomach drop when you went down. The good kind of scary, like a roller coaster.
Bodie was content to just sit in a tube and have me pull him around.
Then he and I came in for a cheese stick and fishy cracker party.
I am so glad we took the time to do this little family outing to the snow. The kids just kept saying we want to go there again. Can we go tomorrow?

Seventy-nine...
I am embarrassed to admit that sometimes Bodie doesn't even get dressed for the day. On this particular day he looked like quite the little raga-muffin. Poor little guy...running around in his mismatched pj's and rain boots...where is his mother, for crying out loud! Oh yeah, she is lying on her belly in the grass taking his picture.Seventy-eight...
Seventy-seven...
When I took these photos of Avery's cousin Katie, I couldn't help but give her tons of praise for looking right at the camera. I told her I liked taking pictures of her because she looks right at Auntie's camera. I think Avery must have been listening because when I took these she was actually looking at the camera without me prompting her to do so.
And then I noticed something. "Avery what is that on your face?"
"Chalk" she said with an expression that told me she wasn't sure if she was going to get in trouble for putting chalk on her face like makeup. I told her she looked pretty, but the chalk is for the chalk board.

And the photos wouldn't be complete without a shot like this from my Avery Girl!
