Live from the Red Carpet!
I just had to share something funny that Avery did yesterday. I was walking past her room and she and Rowdy were playing. I heard her say several times to Rowdy "What is your name" and he would make up some silly name. I overheard this a few times so the next time I walked by I looked in on them. Avery was holding a pretend hot dog like a microphone and she was interviewing Rowdy. She held the "microphone" under her chin when she would talk and then put it in front of Rowdy for him to respond.
Here is the best part....I asked her where did you see that Avery? I knew before I asked the question where she had seen it, I just wanted to know how she would put it into words. She thought for a second and then said "I saw it on your show Mama!" I guess I watched too much of the Red Carpet for SAG awards the otherday. It just goes to show they watch everything you do and are taking note. I was proud of her though maybe she has a future in broadcasting? Oh, and I probably should have told her that the question they ask is "Who are you wearing?"

Vicarious
This is the coolest little tea set. When you pour cold liquids into the cups they turn a dark pink color. Avery got it for Christmas from me...mainly because I wanted to have a tea party with her. Yes sometimes I buy them toys that I want to play with. On Monday Rowdy was at his cousins house for a play date and Avery and I finally got to have our tea party. We had a blast. She just kept pouring me cups of "tea" (crystal light lemonade) and we sat and chatted and nibbled Ritz crackers. Since Monday, Avery and Rowdy have used the tea set at lunch time. It is so funny how something as simple as getting to pour their own drink out of a tea pot makes everything so much fun.

These are for you Kim!
Ron and I have decided that Bodie's head is about 60/40. That is, 60 % forehead and 40% eyes, ears, nose and mouth.
Don't ask me what my camera was doing...but somehow I got this soft blurry look on this photo. But mainly I wanted to share my son's silly little hair do. He has this little patch of hair on the top of his head. After his bath it sticks straight up. Ron and I are in constant debate about cutting it. I want to cut it and he does not. It looks like a Toupee sometimes...he has a baby comb over. Ron called him an onion head the other day. Poor Bodie man!

Lucas
This is Lucas. He and Avery were both born in February 2004. However, Lucas is no longer with us. He passed away sometime around his 3rd birthday. His mom asked me if I would scrapbook his pictures for her. What an honor! I didn't know him...I had only seen him a few times when his mom and I had crossed paths at swim lessons the summer before he died. He and Avery were going to go to preschool together and his older sister went to preschool with Rowdy. What I do know is that he was a loved little boy. I could feel the LOVE though the pictures that I scrapbooked. I just completed the albums for her and I am going to go give them to her tomorrow. I guess what I am trying to say is life is so precious and even though I didn't know Lucas he taught me so many lessons about being grateful for my kids. I don't take for granted that they are here with me and that I can give them a hug anytime I want and smell them and hear them breath. I know I just said smell them...what can I say I love the way my kids smell. So when I have heard "MOMMY" for the millionth time on any particular day and I literally feel my brain turning to mush, I think of sweet baby Lucas and what he taught me...everyday matters and every moment counts. Now go hug all the little people in your life.Jan 5, 2008
