Seventy-three...

I hope that all the kids I take pictures of are as delightful as this group of four! I had so much fun just talking to them and getting to know them better. We used to live in the same town and so I haven't actually had the chance to see them in person in quite awhile! I can tell that their Mommy takes pictures of them because they were naturals in front of my camera.

Seventy-two...

Prepare yourself because these kids will be on my blog for the next few days. You see this is my "new best friend's" big brother...and we are now friends too! He has a dinosaur named Spike and as you can see they share the same taste in hair styles. Which I think is so cool! We had tons of dinosaur fun.
Side note: Amanda, Avery was looking at these pictures and she asked me if we could go over to their house and play? So cute!
(If you didn't know already, you can always click on my images and make them bigger)

Just one because her mom might take a peek here...and this little one is my new best friend.

Seventy...

I just had to put this up! I have been crazy busy this week and need to update badly...but just so you know I am still here and my camera is usually not far out of reach. She was on her way to her performance at the preschool.

We tried to get some photos of this bucket of worms yesterday. And it proved to be interesting.

Just so you know they didn't have serious faces in all of them...

I may have found my next favorite person to photograph. Let's just say that she loves the camera and it loves her. She knows how to look right at the camera and freeze which is great. I got alot of serious faces during our time together but I got some smiles too. I will post those tomorrow. It was fun to take some photos of a brown eyed cutie petutie for once too!

The top image is a card that was given to Avery on her 4th birthday by her Auntie Rebecca. We were in Hawaii at the time and Katie was there too. So this card is super special in so many ways. Well, I have had the card hanging in my office for over a year now. I have had the idea in the back of my mind to recreate the card with the girls. I finally had the chance today. They made their necklaces, and Walmart had the perfect little t-shirts. I didn't have time to make their hakus (sp?) so the flower will have to do. Really, I plan on recreating it several times throughout their life...can you image what the one will look like when they are young ladies....sigh.
Two more takes on the same image to make it look more like the card...

I just had to share this. We got our pictures taken by one of my favorite photographers last Saturday and here are some of the pictures! I just can't tell you how jazzed I am that we had this chance and did it!

Yesterday was Dr. Suess's Birthday. Rowdy got to wear his pajamas to school so they could be comfy as they read books. He was so excited and had them picked out last week. I just ran up and took a few shots before he got on the bus. I was impressed that Ron got in the photo, looked at the camera and grinned. Normally, he isn't even looking at the camera or he is doing something more, well, more like this......

The best part was that the Cat in The Hat made a personal appearance.

Sixty-one...

How in the world am I supposed to get anything done around here when I have these marble like blues eyes looking up at me catching all that morning light that comes into my kitchen.

When he loaded up his banana bread into his little trailer that's when I stopped cleaning up the kitchen and went to go get the camera...

I'm so glad I did...

...really glad!

I feel like I haven't posted much about this young man that lives at our house. He got this ukelele for Christmas. I have to say that his is pretty good even though we have not signed him up for any lessons yet. He has a natural talent for playing. He comes up with all these little beats and rhythms on his own. I took these photos of him in his Aloha shirt maybe because we are ready for some warmer weather too!

We went and got Bodie's hair cut on Wednesday and I just had to share the photos.

I attempted to make a slide show and it is below. It didn't turn our very clear so I have posted some of my favorites here too. He just looks too cute with his new "little boy" hair cut.

The above photo is the after that my friend Kim requested. I didn't take a offical before shot in the Barber Shop because Ron just kind of swooped him in the chair and Ray started buzzing away. So if you want a before just look at the last several posts of Bodie. Man, was he overdue for this.

I just liked this photo and I needed a random post to fill in a day that I skipped in the month of February. This was taken at Auntie Steph's and Uncle Byron's house during Nolan's first birthday party. I just thought it was cute.

I had a little glitch in my numbering of my posts. Instead of going in and editing each title I am just moving this one up and posting the recipe with it. Original post was made on 2/4/09.

So this post is not about Avery. However, she did help me make this yesterday. I did the Weight Watchers program several years ago and there was one important concept that I took away and have tried to implement daily. In WW, vegetables are free. You can eat as many as you want. This soup is called "Zero soup". I make it from time to time when I feel like I am not getting enough veggies or I need more food with my meals. A cup of broth is only 30 calories and the veggies are in my mind because of WW, zero. I will try to post the recipe later.

Zero Soup:

Over medium heat spray a large pot with non-stick cooking spray
Add 1/2 of a small diced onion and a few cloves of garlic diced until they sweat and soften
Add 1 can of chicken stock (I used the 99% fat free)
Then add veggies of your choice and bring the soup to a boil and then turn down to simmer and cook the veggies. Just eye ball the amount.
The combo of veggies I like are celery, carrots, zucchini and sometimes green beans.
Add veggies that cook faster last.
Then I just divide it up into some little serving sizes and have it handy to add to any meal. You can freeze it too!
Really you can adjust the amounts of all of the ingredients to your liking.

Sometimes, if I have some leftover pasta and chicken breast (dice it) I just take some of both and throw it in the soup for a perfect complete lunch.

Enjoy!

If you look close you can see where the doctor sprinkled some "magic" (glitter) on Bodie's cast.

I was hoping they wouldn't have to cast it. But it is a precautionary thing. The doctor said he would probably be fine without it, but just in case.

Where's your owie Bodie?
