Avery Park

This park is in Corvallis and is perfect match for us because it has a big black steam engine to climb on (Rowdy's favorite) and it is named Avery park of all things. The bonus for me is that there is a Taco Bell in Corvallis and not in Monmouth so a trip to Avery Park usually means a trip through Taco Bell's drive through...delightful!!!

Sorry the photos are a little fuzzy...I was have issues with my camera at this time. I think I had it on an incorrect setting and it wasn't taking very clear photos. Oh that is my mom standing with Avery. Her name is Mickie and Avery's favorite person in the whole wide world.

These were taken right before Rowdy's first haircut.

Some oldies by goodies...

Waiting for her breakfast!

Yes that is Ron making breakfast!
Rowdy ripping through the campground on "Rocket" his bike. His mouth is open because he is making the sound of a racecar as he rides. I hope you all had a great weekend.

Through the lense of my camera...

Ron probably thinks I am weird because I take pictures like these. We were walking around the track on Monday morning letting the kids ride their bikes around the track and in the pits, and I see all the texture that is in the my surroundings and I can't help but take a photo. Even though it was daylight and there were no racecars on the track there is still movement. Tire tracks, mud splattered up on the wall even the grass that is growing near the track bends and leans one way from the cars going by it so fast. I think it looks cool!!!

Good Times, Noodle Salad...

We more or less spent Memorial Day weekend camping at Willamette Speedway. Ron had a two day race and he did pretty well. He and Rowdy went down on Friday and watched the sprint cars for a guys night. Avery and I had a girls night at home. I wasn't able to campout until Sunday night because I was teaching a lesson in church on Sunday. But I did go to both of Ron's races. On saturday Ron placed second and Rowdy started to cry...we need to continue to teach winning is not everything. Anyways, we bought this travel trailer and I love it. We have been renting RV's for the past year to see if we like it. It is a fun way to vacation because you basically have everything you need and now that we own one we can stock it with all the our own junk. This kids love it too!

Last week Rowdy got to ride a school bus for the first time. He went on a field trip to visit a Kindergarten Class. I have to admit I got a little tearful. Mainly because the cute little girl who is sitting next to him said "can I sit next to you?" My heart just melted because she said it so sweetly and that was the first time someone ask to sit next to him on a school bus. I had to share these. I'll have more to share from our camping trip over Memorial Day.

Flying High!

These are the photos that I promised to post awhile ago of Tamar, Rowdy and Avery jumping on the trampoline. Do you know how hard it is to catch a jumping child in midair on a trampoline. I took many, many photos this day and I love these three the best. Oh to be a kid again and have that much energy.

Way to Go Avery!

Some well deserved hydration and nourishment after a job well done in the big race!

5K

At the Starting Line

Rowdy was keeper of the map! Avery is hiding behind her blanket.

Avery ran quite a bit of the race too!

Last Saturday was the Wellness Fair that I have been helping to coordinate at the Church. It started with a 5K/10K fun run. I walked the 5k (3.2 miles) pushing the kids in their double stroller. To my suprise Avery is quite the little runner. She ran a good portion of the part on Highway 99 and all the way down Church Street from the College to the Church. Wow!!! For those of you who know our town that is quite a bit for a 3 year old. Every time I asked her if she wanted to get back in the stroller she said no...anyways I love the picture of her running with her little arms pumping!!! Go Avery! The Wellness Fair was a success and all who attended had a great time!

Just goofin' around...

Say cheese...

Silly face...

Havin' so much fun!!!

We found ourselves on the trampoline and I told the kids to lay down close to me and look up at the sky. That's why Avery's trying to shade her eyes in the first one...it was bright! My blue eyed babies have sensitive eyes. I love photos when I am able to catch there "real" smile...not the kind when I tell them to smile.

PINK...

MORE PINK...

The other day I was noticing that every color of the rainbow is represented on our property. So the photographer and scrapbooker in me thought I should take photos of each one and create a layout with the photos. Well, here are the photos. I intended them to be in rainbow order however, I didn't think about having to post them backwards. I hope you enjoy.

This post is for a very special little friend of mine named Madie who LOVES the color PURPLE! I hope you like the pictures Madie!!!

This is the life....

Yum!

Until we get the big swimming pool going this is going to have to work. We have had some nice weather and the kids have enjoyed playing in their pool. They don't even care that the water is freezing. Brrrr!

On another note I have determined that I can only upload about three pictures at a time otherwise they will not post. It is so frustrating because I am trigger happy and have many more to share. I will have to learn to resize that photos I guess.

T-Ball

Rowdy has been playing T-ball for the last couple of weeks and we are so proud of him. He has improved every single practice. We discovered the other day that he can actually hit the ball both righty and lefty...just like his dad! The funny thing about having him involved in T-ball is Avery wants to take a turn when we practice at home and she can actually hit the ball really well! Rowdy's strength is when he is at bat. When he is in the outfield he has not quite grasped the idea that when the ball comes to him, he needs to try to stop it and throw it to first. We are really enjoying watching him learn and grow.

Family Time

Avery girl loves to play in the water with sticks.

Mom and Avery on the new ATV Ron got for me. It is just right for me you just get on turn on the key and put it in gear and it goes. I hope it's ok to ride ATV's when you are 5 months pregnant...
Darn it! This is such a cute photo of the three of them and I ruined it. I can't seem to remember to rotate the stinkin' pictures. Anyways Rowdy and Ron are skippin' rocks...Rowdy loves to find that good skippin' rocks for Dada.
My Boys!

These photos were taken down by the creek that runs through the back of our property. It is a little piece of heaven...We hope to have a campout down there this summer.
